Date of 2022 Course
Saturday 30 July – Sunday 7th August 2022
Please note that for 2022 only the course is an 8 day instead of a 7 day course. It will revert to 7 days in 2023
Opening Date for Applications
Applications are open for 2021 members from 1st September 2021.
Applications for all other applicants opens on 4th October 2021
Closure of some Instruments
As the NSGSO and NSGCB course was cancelled in 2021 due to Covid, those members have been given priority for the 2022 course. We have therefore already closed a handful of instruments and these are stated on the Instruments page. No other instruments will close before the closing date in December. Apologies for this, but all instruments will be open as usual for the 2023 course.
Closing Date for Applications
Midnight on Saturday 11th December 2021. (Please note that we are very strict about this time and date). However any instruments that we still have spaces available for will stay open until we have sufficient instruments. Applications received after the closing date will be considered in date order.
Notification of Applications
You will be informed by 31 December 2021 if you have been successful or not with your application.
Cost for 2022 Course
£540. This is inclusive of all food and accommodation, tuition, music, social activities and transport during the course.
The course is based at Old Swinford Hospital Boarding School in Stourbridge. We can pick you up from Birmingham Airport or Stourbridge Junction Station
Concerts are usually held in venues in Birmingham. However as well as concerts in Birmingham, in 2022 there will also be a concert on Friday 5th August in Coventry Cathedral at 7pm.
